Also,  it’s also known as “18/8” stainless steel. It has excellent forming and welding characteristics, as well as excellent corrosion resistance and strength. 

Simultaneously, 304L stainless bar has a reduced carbon concentration. It is less likely to form dangerous or deleterious carbides as a result of welding. It can, therefore, be used “as welded” in severe corrosion environments, and it eliminates the need for annealing. It has slightly lesser mechanical qualities than ordinary 304. However, due to its versatility, it is still commonly utilized.
